introducing.... footle&felt

Ahhh now that the holidays are well and truly over it's back to the studio (I've missed u!) So I've decided to branch out @4below and introduce 'footle&felt' - a new venture offering felt making kits and equipment, workshops, inspiration and, of course, some fabulous felted makes.  Working on Christmas designs and a wee mascot just now ... watch this space and I'll keep you updated on progress :)

reprise 'free to be'

A new piece of mixed textile I am working on - it is a reprise of a 2ft x 2ft quilt panel I made for 'The Dream Rocket' which sadly got lost in the postal ether between here and Alabama :(
It represents a happy memory from childhood - building damns across the burns of Sherrifmuir whilst on family picnics.  The base is cut from the picnic blanket from those happy days (now slightly matted and worse for the wear - not to mention chopped up) with acrylic paint and needle felting to pick out the image.  Great days!

Open Studios 2011

The studio is looking fab and I just love being there :)  Getting a steady stream of visitors who have all been very complimentary - thank you!  Hope to see many more visitors over the rest of the week.
